Paul, who works in the fruit and vegetable section of a supermarket was given the job of making up packs of three apples from the contents of a large box of loose apples. Each pack had to weigh 600g, with an allowance of no more than 3g heavier or lighter. When there were just seven apples left in the box he feared that he might not be able to make up any more packs, but after weighing them he found that he was able to make up two more. The seven apples weighed 173g, 182g, 188g, 197g, 207g, 219g and 224g.
