If we want to reduce our carbon footprint by travelling by train instead of air, we must be prepared for journeys taking longer and being more expensive. I would be willing to pay a higher cost but cannot make my trips to Europe by train as I do not have time available, so I have to make the journeys by plane. It won’t be possible for me to reduce my carbon footprint.
