Asthma has increased globally by about 160% in the last two decades. In the UK alone, 1318 people have died from asthma attacks within the last year. However new research has shown that asthma rates fall significantly in those parts of cities which have more trees and green spaces indicating that we can reduce asthma attacks by a programme of tree planting in our inner city waste lands.
